In today's society, it is important that everyone feels included and has a job to go to. Many immigrant women have skills from their home country that are of great value in Norway.

We must get as many people as possible into work if we are to have a welfare state that everyone can contribute to.

In collaboration with the Jasmin women's network, we have a
sewing room where we use female labor to sew and embroider party costumes. In this way, we include women who would otherwise live an isolated life on the sidelines of Norwegian society. These are talented women who have received professional training in sewing.

The aim of this collaboration is for women with an immigrant background to go into work. It makes them feel like part of society, when they get the opportunity to contribute with their resources. This has a lot to say for their self-image and self-worth. at the same time that we get to use resources that could possibly have been lost. With the right inclusion, these women get both a social life and the opportunities to develop themselves.
